Overall a very good, albeit very long seven hour experience, but with new vehicle negotiations I guess that’s pretty typical of any dealership. The folks at McCarthy were very friendly and professional (shoutout Kamron) and I didn’t feel overly pressured, even when it came time for the extended warranty talk. Only one small gripe - Bought the truck on a Saturday and was told with customization work being done that the truck should be available to pick up on Tuesday, and maybe even Monday if the wheels/tires came in early, which is what I told the person that loaned me a car to use in the meantime… Truck wasn’t ready until Friday. That was kind of a bummer and I would’ve appreciated someone touching base with me daily to give a status report, or just telling me up front that it could be as late as Friday. But yeah, this is my second purchase from McCarthy and would purchase from there again.

We were a little disappointed that our day was WASTED that Audrey misplaced the key and waited over 2 hrs before we went home without the new car!! We could have enjoyed the great weather and come back next day... Plus we were disappointed that dealer didn't tell us that new car was a DEMO car with over 3,700 miles on it. Not too pleased with this!! We feel that the Dealer company should compensate for our lost time there.

The car was actually found in Indiana and sent to McCarthy. The car arrived on a Tuesday morning and I picked it up on the same day around 4:00pm. It was pouring and I asked where the wipers were and I left. Our salesman, Thomas, had to leave prior to me getting there which was absolutely fine. The gentleman that helped me was really nice and moved my plate to the new vehicle. However, there was no license plate frame so he had to take it to the service department to have them do it. The next day, I found the license plate holder in with the charger. I would have thought the service department would have known that. I also see the name of the dealer in Indiana was still on the back. Why wasn't that taken off and replaced with McCarthy? The car inside was not detailed at all. When I got home, my husband took all the stickers off the windshields and I noticed the scuff marks on the drivers door and some on the dash itself. The inside of the car was all dusty and the windshield has these little circles in a couple of places. We tried to program the garage door opener and it wouldn't work although it said it found the signal. I did some research on this and this is what I found: Equinox EV, is experiencing a problem with its built-in Universal Home Remote (UHR) feature, which includes the garage door opener function. While the UHR is available in some Equinox trims, it may not be fully functional or available in others.GM Customer Satisfaction Program number N242485840 offers both a reimbursement payment to owners of affected 2025 Chevy Equinox units and a reprogramming fix that will make remote garage door opening possible. Why wasn't we told this and why wasn't this checked before we bought the vehicle? We wouldn't have bought it so soon if we had known this. We would have waited until it was fixed just like we did with the battery issue on the Bolt we had previously bought. My rating is on the dealership management, NOT our salesman, Thomas, who was excellent. So, what happens now with the Homelink?

Replacing 4 tires and an oil change was done in the two hours that Vic said it would take. The only negative thing was that the tire warranty/road hazard and free rotation was explained verbally, this information should be provided on the receipt for future reference.

After sale, pretty much ignored by sales. We had appt to pick up our new vehicle. Sales person busy with another sale, handed off to a second sales person to quickly go through new car's features, then sent to waiting area. (Our sales lady was still busy with others, even though we had an appt.) The finance guy took our check and sent us on our way. No paperwork, nothing. They claimed printers were down, no Internet, etc. I called a day later to get paperwork, still no Internet or printers available Michael said. He said he'd email to us if things ever started working again. It's been a week, still no paperwork, no phone call, no followup. I feel once they made a sale, got the money, they didn't really care. Very poor customer service. Our original sales person was Audrey Tatum. Never got her business card or a follow-up phone call or text post sale. Still have no paperwork saying we bought the car, so it sits in the garage. Supposedly getting official paperwork, certificate of origin, receipts in another week.

I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. The appointment went fine but I noticed a few weeks after my appointment that the technician from the McCarthy service center failed to put the engine oil cap back on. I get that from time to time the occasional valve stem cap is accidentally left off but forgetting to put an engine oil cap back on is completely unacceptable, especially with how simple an oil change is. This could have completely ruined my engine and there still is potential for it to damage my engine as I don’t know if water or debris got into the engine while the cap was off and McCarthy Chevrolet would have / will be completely at fault. I would not recommend this dealership / service center to anyone that I know.

I had to have my backup camera replaced. Scheduled an appointment for July 1. When i took my trailblazer in, i was told it would be 3-4 days because they were busy and short handed. I rescheduled for the next week. I took it the next week at 730. At 3:00 it hadnt even been looked at, so they rushed and got it done. When i got home, i discovered they did an oil change that was not necessary. I have been in for service several times now, and regret buying from McCarthy Chev.

I’ve been brining my car to this service shop since we bought from an out of town dealership. Feel like service has been fine and service tech’s are friendly. However this last time it just felt different. They were telling me how much I was needing to spend within the first thirty seconds of getting checked in. It was going to be over $3k and all I came in for was an oil change. Then, I asked if they had the courtesy shuttle available as I picked as an option when booking the appointment. The tech told me they don’t have one anymore. Not his fault but if you’re going to tell me that I have to have $3k of “service” on my vehicle but then not go above and beyond; I have options as well.

I brought my car 3 times, 3 weeks in a row and it still was not repaired. The engine light still came on, engine overheating warning and beeping, coolant is now leaking, engine is backfiring, car is shaking etc. Pablo was rude and dismissive from day ONE. Upon first arrival, Pablo was in full sales mode. He pointed out a scratch on a hub cap and went on and on about how I must treat my car. When calling over and over to find out just the status of my vehicle after waiting five days, I did not get a return call until seven days later. When Pablo wanted to show me that the car drives well, my back was turned to the service door and he shouted "Hey!" I was appalled he was talking to me, so I did not respond. He only yelled louder "Hey!" He claimed they forgot to put antifreeze in, then he also said it was in there that the "bubble" hadn't gone down. I need my car for work. It was a Huge inconvenience. My car still has the engine light on, overheating warning, leaking antifreeze and is not drivable. My warranty was charged for work that did not occur. If I have to pay for the exact repairs that my warranty was charged for, this will be a big problem. I am not happy. I am very disappointed! The owner of the dealership is such a nice guy, but I will never return.

After Saturday's service experience, I don't plan to return to this dealership to purchase a new vehicle or service my current vehicle. My requested service was to replace the in-cabin air filter which I'm aware is accessed via the glove box, a tire rotation, and oil change. My car was returned to me after paying for the service with the glove box not just open, but completely pulled out, laying on the passenger floorboard and the contents strewn on the floor. It looked as if my car had been ransacked. When I asked Vick why a service person would leave it in that condition, he said it may not have been the service person and that it could have happened when the car was driven out and that person didn't notice it. I expected honest answers, not excuses. There was also no notice or explanation at checkout of the issue with the tire sensor that he said had apparently failed during tire rotation. I had to discover that on my own and show it to Vick. The Service Tire Monitor System message and tire pressure light were clearly displayed on the dash lights. Although I understand this can happen on an older vehicle, the point is that I was not notified. The invoice states: "Completed tire rotation, relearned TPMS sensors and reset pressures". The tire sensors display dashes for all 4 tires now. On hindsight, I would have expected to be notified of this prior to checkout, the situation explained and asked if I wanted it fixed (which I would have done) before paying my invoice, but that didn't occur. He called these incidents an inconvenience; I call it failure to communicate and disregard for another person's property. After paying a bill for $264, it will cost me another $100 to fix the tire sensor despite being told that I won't be charged for the labor, and return my car to its prior condition or in my opinion it will likely impact its trade value because it has this issue now. I wasn't asked my opinion on how they could make the events of the visit right for me, but because of the condition that my car was initially returned to me with nothing said, if McCarthy wanted to make this right for me and preserve the customer relationship, they would offer to repair the tire sensor issue at zero charge to me vs just waiving the labor. This dealership has been contacting me to trade my 2011 Cruze, but I will go elsewhere to trade or service my current vehicle and to purchase a new one when I'm ready to do so.

All good on oil change and fuel filter change. Four stars because it wasn't until I went to pay with my credit card and the service advisor said, "there will be that 3% service fee for using a credit card". I said I'd use debit card then. He said, "there's charge for using any card". First, this seems really cheap of any business who offers the convenience of paying by credit card. It's now no convenience at all as customers have to pay a "penalty". Second, do you really want me to bring my checkbook? Wouldn't it take staff longer to process/handle check processing? Last, I was never told until the point of sale that this fee would be charged. What options do I have at that moment? Drive home and get my checkbook? Run to the ATM and get cash? What a ridiculous and cheap policy which reflects poorly on your brand. I will now bring my checkbook any time I go for service at this dealer.

I brought the car that I purchased from your dealership on 06-5-2025 in for an oil change, since there was no sticker in the window about when it should be changed. The sales ticket had said the oil was changed just prior to my purchase. This oil change was the first of two complimentary oil changes promised to me at purchase. There was a 4 month limited warranty on the car (2019 Buick Encore) with 35K miles. The oil was changed, no problems there. When I picked up the car, Pedro told me that he had noted a lot of problems with the car. There was leakage at the valve cover, the oil pan gasket, and the air conditioner condenser, for a total of $3,327 in needed repairs. Needless to say, I was not happy to hear all of this. I left without scheduling the repairs. The 4 month warranty was about 10 days expired. GM has no warranty on the vehicle which now has 38K miles on it. On the way home, I stopped at Meineke and talked to their tech, and I have scheduled the repair work to be done by them this Friday for a little over $1,000 less than the quote from Pedro at McCarthy Morse dealership. I am very concerned about this vehicle. I sincerely hope I have not been sold a "Lemon-Squeezer"! One of those cars with constant problems that squeeze your bank account from the constant bleeding to fix the ongoing repairs. Jane Johnson

Because I eas trying to get yard work done on my day off from the hospital before the weather turned, I did not arrive for pickup until 15 minutes before close. Pedro made a point of letting me know that had I waited any longer, the service would have been closed and that “ he had only written 4 or 5 tickets that day and was waiting on me to start Black Friday shopping.” Also, that he hoped there were items left since it was nearly 6 pm. I really felt like I had inconvenienced him. I had actually driven past another Chevy dealer to go to McCarthy. After my move back to Kansas, I had a battery placed there because I could not enter your lot on the weekend for drop off and Roadside Assistance told me to drive straight there. I am not certain I will return to McCarthy with my or my children’s cars. The other dealer was much more accessible and accomodating

Dropped my car off at 9am appointment, I had 3 items to address. Did not hear anything until I called and then had time text for follow up. Finally received a text with items I did not request be completed and 1 item I did not even in the text. Had my car from 9am to 5:40pm and didn't fix anything. Extremely poor service and even worse communication from Vick.

Invoiced me only for what I asked, and provided recommendations in additional services and the cost for those, but didn’t try to push me into having those done right then and there, which I appreciated.

They were very helpful and straight forward which we loved. Most Dealers falsifie the sale price and then add a bunch a fees and add ons to it which I cant stand. This dealer didn't play any games like that so we will look at buying from them in the future for being upfront and honest.

Vic and team did an excellent job helping me with an emergency coolant pump replacement, primary belt and pulley. Took the truck in as soon as I called, gave me a ride to work, the team drove all over town to get parts, got all the work done, came and picked me up from work, and drove my truck home all in one day.
