Uptown Theater
Known as one of the best New Year’s Eve parties in Kansas City, Uptown Theater’s NYE event offers unlimited cocktails, live music and entertainment, a raucous dance floor, laser light shows, photo booths, and much more.

New Year’s Eve 2023 at Howl at the Moon

Black Party NYE XVIII at The Truman

Kelly’s Westport Inn
A Kansas City favorite, Kelly’s Westport Inn is hosting their annual New Year’s Eve bash from 6 PM to 3 AM. If you want a smaller, more intimate NYE experience, complete with a New Year’s Eve countdown, this is a great spot.
The Levee Kansas City
Hit up The Levee for an epic NYE event to remember. DJs spice things up at 10 PM and play through 2 AM, so you’ll get your dance on before and after the champagne toast at midnight.

New Year’s Eve Party at Tavern 24
Get a New Year’s Eve dinner at Tavern 24—smoked prime rib is just $20—indulge in libations, watch a live show by Yard Dogs, and have a toast to celebrate the changing of the calendar year at midnight.
New Year’s Eve at John’s Big Deck
Live music starts at 10 PM and will continue through to 1:30 AM.
Standard tickets are $70 and includes well drinks, domestic beers, and complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
Emo Nite NYE at Granada
Got a hankering for some emo music? Get Up Kids, perhaps? The Cure? Some standard My Chemical Romance? Then head to The Granada in Lawrence, KS, for their emo-tastic NYE party.
Tickets begin at $20 per person.
New Year’s Eve at the Temple XIII
Ranked as one of the best New Year’s Eve events in America, the NYEKC event at Temple XIII offers just about everything you could ask for when ringing in 2023. There’s a massive open bar—as well as 5-6 hours of unlimited drinks—DJs, bottle and table service, free parking, laser lights, dancing, party favors, food, 4 levels of action-packed entertainment.

New Year’s Eve Party – The View at Briarcliff
You’re invited to enjoy a NYE dinner, concert and midnight balloon drop with champagne at this New Year’s Eve gala at Briarcliff. The 7,200-square-foot ballroom will be loaded with all types of NYE essentials: Open bar, photo booths, dancing, live music, food, and much more.
This is a very exclusive and sought-after event. As such, tickets start at $200.
NYE Live!
Of course, we couldn’t leave NYE Live! off our list of places to watch the ball drop in Kansas City. Offering confetti cannons, champagne toasts, DJs and more, it’s the biggest New Year’s event in the metropolitan area.

NYE Events for Families
Kansas City Zoo Year’s Eve
Got kids who can’t really stay up till midnight? A noon NYE countdown at the Kansas City Zoo will let them feel like part of the New Year’s festivities. The KC Zoo will be hosting their annual Zoo Year’s Eve on December 31, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM, and it’ll include tons of family-friendly NYE party games, activities, and a truly epic dance party.

NYE Party at Grace Church
This New Year’s Eve event in Independence will feature a chili cook-off and two separate NYE parties for different age groups (K-5th and 6th-12th).

Noon Year’s Eve in Science City
Union Station’s Science City is celebrating NYE early with their special Noon Year’s Eve event on December 31, 2022. Guests will enjoy fun yet educational activities and a 6 PM balloon drop (2,500 balloons are planned).

Wonder Eve at Wonder Scope
The Children’s Museum of Kansas City’s Wonder Scope area will be hosting their NYE festivities from 9 AM to noon on December 31, 2022. Activities include face painting, arts and crafts, balloon artists, and a confetti celebration.

Family New Year’s Eve Pajama Party at Flint Hills
Put those PJs on early and visit Flint Hills for their kid-friendly NYE party in Manhattan, KS. From 6:30 to 9 PM, guests can dance on the dance floor, eat dinner, play games, make slap bracelets, create lava lamps and slime, and so much more. The event’s iconic balloon drop will end the night on a high note—and get you home in time to watch the ball drop.
