Twenty years ago, the Chevy Trailblazer was one of the country’s rugged SUV mainstays. When it was unceremoniously discontinued, it left a little midsize SUV-shaped hole in America’s heart. Chevrolet’s decision to bring back the Trailblazer from the scrapyard may have irked some purists, but now that we’ve seen its reincarnation as a crossover, there’s little to complain about.
For 2024, Chevy Trailblazer gains a good set of new features and options that set it apart from not just its 2023 sibling, but also from the rest of the subcompact SUV class. Let’s check out everything Trailblazer’s got going for it for the 2023 model year.
2023 vs. 2024 Chevy Trailblazer
Large 11″ Touchscreen & 8″ Instrument Panel
Every new Trailblazer comes standard with an 11.0-inch center touchscreen display, which replaces the 7.0-inch and optional 8.0-inch screens found in the 2023 Trailblazer. It’s a good call on GM’s part; the best small family SUVs on the market are already fitted with big, honkin’ touchscreens, and now Trailblazer can be added to that list.
Less exciting yet equally nice is the addition of a standard 8.0-inch full digital instrument cluster. This replaces 2023’s small 4.2-inch color Driver Information Center, which was far too tiny and impractical for most 21st-century drivers.
New Standard Features
In addition to bigger screens up front, the Trailblazer also gains standard push-button start, cruise control and an HD Rear Vision Camera. Now it’s a sporty affordable SUV with lots of extra bells and whistles.
Restyled Exterior

Every Trailblazer trim gains a unique front fascia, gunslit headlights and grille, as well as some overarching external design elements. The Trailblazer RS, for instance, adopts a sporty mesh grille, blacked-out accents, dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips and 19-inch wheels.
Want something a little more vibrant than a white Chevy Trailblazer? If you’re a stickler for color, you’ll love the latest changes. New for 2024 are two exterior paint options: Copper Harbor Metallic and Cacti Green. You can even choose the Trailblazer ACTIV or RS and opt for a two-tone roof.
